Full Description

This package is designed to help New York nurses fulfill their state-mandated continuing education requirements efficiently and in one place. It includes two courses required by the New York State Education Department (NYSED) for RNs, LPNs, and APRNs:

  • Infection Control and Barrier Precautions — Required at initial licensure and every four years thereafter, this course covers the core elements mandated under Section 6505-b of the Education Law, including engineering and work practice controls to prevent the transmission of HIV and HBV in professional settings.

  • Child Abuse Identification and Reporting — This updated 2-hour course reflects the 2025 amendments to Social Services Law 413 and includes expanded content on adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and trauma, implicit bias, and identifying child abuse in virtual settings. All New York healthcare professionals are required to complete this updated training.

Both courses are ANCC-accredited and accepted by the New York State Board of Nursing. Whether you are renewing your license or completing mandated training for the first time, this package provides everything you need to stay compliant.

I really loved this information. I was hospitalized last year for almost a month and I noticed multiple medical errors (not being hooked up to my IV multiple times, given wrong medication which caused my sodium to be very low, etc.) which lengthened my stay. I can now define those exact errors and better understand what happened to me. I hate that these medical errors are so common and I appreciate how well laid out your breakdown and categorization of them was.
