Michigan Medical Doctor Standard Renewal Requirements: Michigan medical doctors must renew their licenses every three years by completing 150 hours of continuing medical education credits, with at least 75 hours being Category 1. Among these, at least one hour must focus on medical ethics and three hours on pain and symptom management, including controlled substance prescribing. Additionally, starting in 2025, three hours of implicit bias education and human trafficking identification training are required every renewal cycle.
