Pharmacist who prescribe tobacco cessation need: 2 Hours Tobacco Cessation CE Every 2 Years
Pharmacist who dispense contraceptives need: 3 Hours Hormonal Contraceptive Dispensing CE Every 2 Years

Standard Renewal Requirements
Every Arizona pharmacist must complete 30 contact hours of continuing education per 2-year renewal period, from an Arizona Board of Pharmacy-approved provider (including ACPE Providers like AchieveCE), to satisfy Arizona pharmacist license renewal. Arizona sets no live-instruction minimum, so all 30 hours may be completed online at your own pace with an accredited package like the Arizona Pharmacist CE Package . CEUs cannot be carried forward from one 2-year renewal period to the next. Within the 30 hours, all Arizona pharmacists must complete 3 hours on Arizona opioid and controlled substance CE every renewal cycle.

Conditional Renewal Requirements
Pharmacists who administer immunizations or vaccines must complete 2 hours of immunization CE for pharmacists , counting toward the total. Ariz. Admin. Code R4-23-204(A)(2)
Pharmacists who prescribe and dispense tobacco cessation drug therapies must complete 2 hours of t obacco cessation CE for pharmacists , counting toward the total. Ariz. Admin. Code R4-23-204(A)(2)
Pharmacists who dispense hormonal contraceptives must complete 3 hours of

Arizona reviews completed CE via CPE Monitor for tracking and compliance verification, and pharmacists must submit proof of continuing education participation within 20 days of a Board request; records must cover the preceding 5 years.
