Total Hours Required:

60 hours

Next Renewal Date:

June 30, 2022 – every 3 years

Required Courses:

  • Infection control (no hour requirement)
  • 3 hours in management of pain with controlled substances for DEA registrants
  • 5 hours in sedation for sedation permit holders
  • Proof of current certification in basic life support (BLS) or cardiac pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) accepted by the American heart association, the American red cross, or the American safety and health institute (ASHI); cannot be self-study course.

New Mexico Dental Hygienist

Total Hours Required:

45 hours

Next Renewal Date:

June 30, 2022 – every 3 years

Required Courses:

  • Infection control
  • Proof of current certification in basic life support (BLS) or cardiac pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) accepted by the American heart association, the American red cross, or the American safety and health institute (ASHI); cannot be self-study course.
