At least 3 hours on pharmacology, opioid/substance abuse, addiction, pain management, and relevant federal/state prescribing regulations (for DEA registrants) every 3 years.
Additional information
New Mexico Dentist Standard Renewal Requirements: New Mexico dentists must complete 60 CE hours every three years, with no more than 30 hours via distance study, and must renew by June 30 of the renewal year. DEA registrants must complete opioid/substance use disorder and pain management topics, and all must take 2 hours of ethics per cycle. Mandatory CPR/BLS certification must be kept current. First-time renewal: All newly licensed dentists must comply with the full CE requirements for their first three-year renewal. NM Dental Health Care Board FAQ
