Total Hours Required:
60 hours
Next Renewal Date:
December 01, 2022 – every 2 years (for even-numbered licenses)
December 01, 2023 – every 2 years (for odd-numbered licenses)
Required Courses:
- 58 General hours
- 2 hours in Ethics
- 4 hours (maximum) Basic cardiac life support for the health care provider certificate may be used toward CE renewal requirement
- First time renewals need to take 30 total hours
Kansas Dental Hygienist
Total Hours Required:
30 hours
Next Renewal Date:
December 01, 2022 – every 2 years (for even-numbered licenses)
December 01, 2023 – every 2 years (for odd-numbered licenses)
Required Courses:
- 29 General Hours
- 1 Hour in Ethics
- 4 hours (maximum) Basic cardiac life support for the health care provider certificate may be used toward CE renewal requirement.
- First time renewals need to take 15 total hours
Additional Information
- All hours can be taken online for both Dentists and Dental Hygienists.
- Each Kansas Dentist licensee who holds a specialist certificate shall provide evidence satisfactory to the board that at least 40 of the required 60 hours of continuing education are in courses in the specialty for which the licensee holds a specialist certificate.
