About this course
Anxiety disorders (generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, social anxiety disorder, and various phobias) are the most common form of psychiatric illness. They can be treated effectively with cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and/or pharmacotherapy.
The US Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) now recommends screening for anxiety disorders in all children ≥8 years old and adults ≤64 years old, including pregnant and postpartum persons. No recommendation has been made for those ≤7 years old or ≥65 years old because of insufficient evidence.
