About this course
If a bioterrorist attack were to happen, Bacillus anthracis, the bacteria that causes anthrax, would be one of the biological agents most likely to be used. Biological agents are germs that can sicken or kill people, livestock, or crops. Training in diagnosis and management of bioterrorism-related diseases emphasizes that such an event has similarities to a public health emergency and a traditional disaster. This activity is designed to provide clinicians with a deeper understanding of the various treatment protocols for inhalational anthrax that may be utilized during such bioterrorism attacks, to help in creating a bioterrorism disaster plan.
