West Virginia Licensed Practical Nurse Standard Renewal Requirements: West Virginia LPNs must renew their license annually by June 30 and complete 24 contact hours of Board-approved continuing education every two years. At least 7 of those hours must be in required topics: substance abuse , veteran mental health , and end-of-life care (the latter only for first-time renewal). The remaining hours may be in general or elective topics wvrnboard.wv.gov

I was hospitalized last year for almost a month and I noticed multiple medical errors (not being hooked up to my IV multiple times, given wrong medication which caused my sodium to be very low, etc.) which lengthened my stay. I can now define those exact errors and better understand what happened to me. I hate that these medical errors are so common and I appreciate how well laid out your breakdown and categorization of them was.
