North Carolina Pharmacy Standard Renewal Requirements: North Carolina pharmacists must renew their licenses annually between November 1 and December 31, with a penalty-free extension until March 1. Each licensee needs to complete 15 continuing education (CE) hours per year, with at least 5 of those hours delivered live or via interactive remote format . While there is no mandatory topic-driven requirement, immunizing pharmacists must complete 3 disease/drug/vaccine administration hours every two years, which count toward the annual CE total. I was hospitalized last year for almost a month and I noticed multiple medical errors (not being hooked up to my IV multiple times, given wrong medication which caused my sodium to be very low, etc.) which lengthened my stay. I can now define those exact errors and better understand what happened to me. I hate that these medical errors are so common and I appreciate how well laid out your breakdown and categorization of them was.
