2 hours in infection control (live or online, must include CDC guidelines)
2 hours in medical emergency training per biennium.
Dentists with a DEA number prescribing Schedule II-IV controlled substances must complete 3 hours in pain management/addiction disorder or pass an online exam in these topics every two years. ( Board of Dental Examiners Education and Training )

New Hampshire Dentist Standard Renewal Requirements: Dentists in New Hampshire must complete 40 hours of continuing education every two years, including mandatory infection control and medical emergency training. At least 30 hours must be in clinical dental care, and online learning is capped at half the total CE requirement. Dentists with DEA registration must complete 3 hours in pain management/addiction biannually and a one-time 8-hour opioid/substance use training.
