Additional information
Michigan Dentist Standard Renewal Requirements: Michigan dentists renew every three years and must complete 60 hours of approved continuing education, including mandatory hours in pain management, ethics/jurisprudence, infection control , and a one-time human trafficking course . Of these, up to 10 hours may be obtained by reading articles, magazines, etc., that are related to dentistry. At least 20 hours must be classroom, live, or interactive, and up to 30 hours can be online/recorded. All dentists must hold valid CPR (not eligible for CE credit). I was hospitalized last year for almost a month and I noticed multiple medical errors (not being hooked up to my IV multiple times, given wrong medication which caused my sodium to be very low, etc.) which lengthened my stay. I can now define those exact errors and better understand what happened to me.
