Louisiana Dentist Standard Renewal Requirements: Louisiana dentists renew every two years, with licenses expiring December 31 each year of the biennium (current cycle 2025–2026; next expiration Dec 31, 2025). Dentists must complete 30 clinical CE hours each period, including 20 in-person clinical hours and 10 clinical hours that may be done in person or online with a written exam, plus a one-time 3-hour opioid management course (or an exemption if no controlled substances are used).
