Kentucky APRN Standard Renewal Requirements: Kentucky Advanced Practice Registered Nurses are required to renew their licenses each year between September 15 and October 31. APRNs must complete 14 contact hours of Board-approved continuing education annually, including 5 hours of pharmacology, or maintain national certification. Mandatory one-time trainings in topics such as domestic violence, suicide prevention, pediatric abusive head trauma, and others may be required based on licensure status.
