Georgia Dental Hygienist Standard Renewal Requirements: Georgia dental hygienists must renew every two years, with licenses expiring December 31 of odd-numbered years. Each hygienist needs 22 CE hours, at least 11 earned in person, and coursework must include Legal Ethics & Professionalism , Infection-Control (dental-unit water lines), and an in-person CPR/BLS course. Up to 7 elective hours may be non-scientific, while teaching, charitable care, or Board service can supply limited credit. Full details are in Ga. Comp. R. & Regs. 150-5-.05 and 150-3-.05. I was hospitalized last year for almost a month and I noticed multiple medical errors (not being hooked up to my IV multiple times, given wrong medication which caused my sodium to be very low, etc.) which lengthened my stay.
