Florida Speech-Language Pathology Assistant Standard Renewal Requirements: Speech-Language Pathology Assistants in Florida must renew their licenses biennially by December 31 of even-numbered years, fulfilling 20 hours of continuing education every two years. Of these, 18 hours must be clinically related, and 2 hours must be dedicated to prevention of medical errors. There is no specified minimum for live or in-person courses, and no other CE options explicitly stated. These requirements are mandated by the Florida Department of Health .
