Florida Medical Physicist Standard Renewal Requirements: Medical Physicists in Florida renew their licenses biennially by January 31 of odd-numbered years, completing 24 continuing education hours per cycle. This includes 2 hours on Medical Error prevention and 1 hour on HIV/AIDS, with the remaining 21 hours allowable as general CE. No minimum live instruction hours are specified. Approved providers include several national professional organizations, and one-time credit can be applied for presenting an approved course.
