Delaware APRN Standard Renewal Requirements: Delaware APRNs must renew their license every two years, always on the same date as their Delaware RN or, if none, on September 30 of odd years. RNs with an APRN license must renew the RN license first. APRNs must complete 30 CE hours, with 3 on substance abuse and—if prescriptive authority is held—10 in pharmacology/pharmacotherapeutics, and must maintain national certification. Practice requirement: APRNs must attest at renewal to having practiced at least 1,500 hours in the past 5 years, 600 hours in the past 2 years, or have graduated from their population focus program within the last 2 years ( Delaware Board of Nursing Renewal ).
