California Dentist Standard Renewal Requirements: California dentists must complete 50 Board-approved CE units every two years and renew by the last day of their birth-month. At least 25 units must be live or interactive, and no more than eight units may be claimed in a single day. Required coursework includes a 2-unit California Infection Control course, 2-unit California Dental Practice Act course, 2-unit Schedule II opioid-prescribing course, and hands-on BLS (maximum 4 units); all must be taken from Board-registered or ADA CERP/AGD PACE providers. I was hospitalized last year for almost a month and I noticed multiple medical errors (not being hooked up to my IV multiple times, given wrong medication which caused my sodium to be very low, etc.) which lengthened my stay. I can now define those exact errors and better understand what happened to me. I hate that these medical errors are so common and I appreciate how well laid out your breakdown and categorization of them was.
