Alabama Pharmacy Technician Standard Renewal Requirements- Pharmacy technicians in Alabama must renew their registration every two years, with the current renewal deadline on December 31, 2025. During each renewal cycle, technicians must complete a total of six hours of continuing education, with at least two of those hours being live (in-person or real-time webinar). All CE must be Alabama Board- or ACPE-approved, and excess hours cannot be carried over to the next cycle. First-time renewal: Pharmacy technicians with less than one full calendar year of registration are not required to complete CE for their first renewal. If registered for one full calendar year, they must complete 3 hours of CE for the first renewal, including at least 1 live hour.
