What CE do Alabama Pharmacy Technicians need?
Every Alabama pharmacy technician must complete 6 hours of ACPE-accredited or Board-approved continuing education per 2-year renewal period, to satisfy Alabama pharmacy technician license renewal. At least 2 of the 6 hours must be completed through live attendance or live interactive webinars , while the remaining 4 hours can be completed online at your own pace with an accredited package like the Alabama Pharmacy Technician Package . All CE hours must be completed every 2 years by midnight December 31 of even years. The Alabama State Board of Pharmacy does not mandate specific topics for Alabama pharmacy technician CE beyond the live-hour minimum.

Alabama pharmacy technicians are randomly audited for CE compliance and must maintain proof of their continuing education for at least 2 years. I was hospitalized last year for almost a month and I noticed multiple medical errors (not being hooked up to my IV multiple times, given wrong medication which caused my sodium to be very low, etc.) which lengthened my stay.
