Detailed Breakdown
  • North Carolina Psychologist Standard Renewal Requirements: North Carolina psychologists must renew their licenses biennially by September 30 of even years with at least 24 hours of continuing education, including a minimum of 15 hours from Board-approved Category A sponsors and at least 3 of those hours in ethics. Continuing education must be documented with certificates and submitted through CE Broker, and all CE activities must be obtained via in-person attendance, presentations, or approved online/correspondence courses. Up to 9 hours of graduate course work and supervision credit may count toward renewal, with additional ethics exam and supervisor training credits available. These rules ensure psychologists maintain professional competence and adhere to standards defined by the North Carolina Psychology Board
