Kansas Licensed Professional Counselor Standard Renewal Requirements: Licensed Professional Counselors (LPCs) in Kansas must renew their licenses every two years on the last day of the issuance month by submitting 30 hours of continuing education, including 3 hours in ethics and 6 hours related to diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders. There is no minimum live/in-person hour requirement, and academic credit courses can fulfill CE hours at 15 credits per academic hour with a max of 30 hours credited. The Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board requires submission of documentation and fees per renewal cycle as codified in Kansas Administrative Regulations .
