Who Do You Think You Are? Learning More About Emotional Intelligence
Learn emotional intelligence theories and self-assessment using the HPILs tool. Develop interpersonal skills for personal and professional growth.

About this course
As the interpersonal demands of clinical practice continue to increase, healthcare professionals need to better understand themselves and the way they are perceived by others in interpersonal interactions. Emotional intelligence theories provide an important perspective for self-reflection and personal development, as well as a vocabulary for explaining interpersonal differences. The author has developed a validated tool, The Health Professional’s Inventory of Learning Styles (HPILs), which will be used as a vehicle for promoting self-assessment and self-reflection regarding emotional intelligence. Participants will complete the tool, then use personalized findings to better understand themselves, their colleagues, and how they respond in different interpersonal situations. Reflective questions will be used to guide participants in identifying opportunities for professional and personal self-development.

Real reviews, real results
I am always interested in continuing education in the areas of health, wellness, nutrition and mental health. Your course was well written, well organized and helpful in meeting state licensure requirements.
Very well written, easy to digest, time efficient, and straight to the point. Thank you!
I appreciate the convenience of the course being online and accessible through my phone and that it directly reports to CEBroker to support mandated education requirements.
I really loved this information. I was hospitalized last year for almost a month and I noticed multiple medical errors (not being hooked up to my IV multiple times, given wrong medication which caused my sodium to be very low, etc.) which lengthened my stay. I can now define those exact errors and better understand what happened to me. I hate that these medical errors are so common and I appreciate how well laid out your breakdown and categorization of them was.
I am always looking for concise ,thorough, and up to date continuing education, and this course provided exactly what I was looking for. Thank you
Enjoyed this course! It squarely met my license renewal requirement as a physician. It was well-written, and an altogether enjoyable read.
