Direct Oral Anticoagulation Therapy Bleeding Risks and Emerging Reversal Agents Options
Learn about direct-acting oral anticoagulants, their indications, dosing, and reversal strategies. Equip clinicians to make informed decisions for patient safety and care.

About this course
Each direct-acting oral anticoagulants agent has a unique pharmacokinetic profile and approved indication, therefore, educational initiatives are essential. Clinicians need to appropriately select the correct anticoagulant and dose, identify reversible risk factors of bleeding, and formulate a management strategy for a major bleed using a new reversal agent. The goal is to provide ongoing education so that clinicians are able to confidently select the correct DOAC agent to minimize the adverse effects, while also formulating a strategy to reverse anticoagulation using a novel agent.
