Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:
- Describe the differences between THC, CBD, and marijuana.
- Identify possible therapeutic effects, side effects, adverse reactions, and contraindications for use.
- Recognize the key elements of the endocannabinoid system.
- Distinguish specific parts of the brain affected by marijuana.
- Describe the most common differences between cannabis tolerance, dependence, and abuse.
This lesson reviews Cannabis pharmacology, therapeutics, appropriate medication use, side effects, and adverse effects management, and provides information on the fluid research outcomes. The goal of this continuing education program is to offer health care professionals’ knowledge regarding marijuana and other cannabinoids.
