Bioterrorism: An Overview for Pharmacy Professionals – 1 CE

Activity Overview

This course is designed to provide pharmacy professionals with a deeper understanding of the various agents that may be used in a bioterrorism attack and the treatment protocols that may be utilized during such attacks, to help in creating a bioterrorism disaster plan.This self-directed course is equivalent to 1.0 credit hours. It can be completed using a laptop or a mobile device.

At the conclusion of this continuing education activity, the participant will be able to:

  1. Identify common bacterial and viral agents, toxins, chemicals, radiologic, and nuclear agents that may be used in a bioterrorism attack.
  2. Describe the method of contact and signs and symptoms upon exposure to these harmful agents.
  3. Identify the various treatments that may be used following exposure to these agents.
