Wisconsin Physician Assistant Standard Renewal Requirements: Physician assistants in Wisconsin must renew their license every two years by October 31 of odd years, completing 30 hours of NCCPA Category 1 (or board-approved equivalent) CME within each renewal cycle. Among these, at least 2 hours must be completed on responsible prescribing of controlled substances . There is no minimum live or in-person CME requirement. Licensees may also submit proof of active NCCPA certification or an approved successor organization certification to satisfy CME mandates. Renewal applications must include attestation of CME compliance and renewal fees paid Wisconsin PA Administrative Code .
