Utah Registered Nurse Standard Renewal Requirements: Utah RNs must renew their license every two years by January 31 of odd-numbered years and meet a continuing competency requirement. This can be completed with 30 hours of approved CE, a combination of 15 hours of CE with at least 200 practice hours, or simply 400 practice hours in the past two years. One suicide prevention course is also required each cycle ( Utah DOPL - RN Renewal ).

I was hospitalized last year for almost a month and I noticed multiple medical errors (not being hooked up to my IV multiple times, given wrong medication which caused my sodium to be very low, etc.) which lengthened my stay. I can now define those exact errors and better understand what happened to me. I hate that these medical errors are so common and I appreciate how well laid out your breakdown and categorization of them was.
