Utah APRN Standard Renewal Requirements: Utah APRNs must renew every two years by January 31 of even-numbered years. License renewal requires maintaining current national certification in your APRN specialty; those with prescriptive authority must complete 4 hours of CE in controlled substance prescribing (including DOPL’s online tutorial) and Board-approved suicide prevention training. There is no live CE or elective/general hour mandate, but all CE must pertain to advanced practice specialty ( Utah DOPL - APRN Renewal ).

I was hospitalized last year for almost a month and I noticed multiple medical errors (not being hooked up to my IV multiple times, given wrong medication which caused my sodium to be very low, etc.) which lengthened my stay. I can now define those exact errors and better understand what happened to me. I hate that these medical errors are so common and I appreciate how well laid out your breakdown and categorization of them was.
