At least 15 of the 24 hours must be in pharmacotherapeutics, and 2 hours must focus on pain management or opioid use/addiction.
APRN-CRNAs with prescriptive authority must complete 8 pharmacology CE hours related to anesthesia.
Additional information
Oklahoma APRN Standard Renewal Requirements: APRNs in Oklahoma must renew their license every two years by the last day of their birth month, completing 24 contact hours of Board-approved continuing education per cycle. Of these hours, APRNs with prescriptive authority (CNPs, CNMs, CNSs) must complete 15 hours in pharmacotherapeutics and 2 hours in pain management or opioid use/addiction; CRNAs with prescriptive authority have a dedicated anesthesia pharmacology requirement. Submission of current national certification fulfills the CE requirement for all APRN roles. Complete renewal instructions and standards are on the Oklahoma Board of Nursing site .
