New Jersey Dental Hygienist Standard Renewal Requirements: New Jersey dental hygienists must complete 20 hours of continuing education every two years, including 6 hours in required content areas: CPR, infection control , ethics/law , and opioid education . Mandatory CPR must be hands-on and in-person; no more than 10 hours may be completed by distance/online learning.
