Additional information
Mississippi Dentist Standard Renewal Requirements: Mississippi dentists must complete 40 hours of continuing education every two years, with at least 20 hours in direct clinical topics. There is no mandated in-person/live minimum, and CE can be completed through approved interactive or self-study forms; non-live courses require a post-study exam. Dentists prescribing or dispensing controlled substances must complete 3 hours of opioid-focused CE each cycle, and DEA registrants must now complete a one-time 8-hour opioid/substance disorder course. All details are outlined in Regulation 41 from the Mississippi Board of Dental Examiners .
