Louisiana Registered Nurse Standard Renewal Requirements: Louisiana RNs must renew their licenses every two years by completing either 30 board-approved contact hours of continuing education or verifying 900 hours of nursing practice within the renewal cycle. There are no state-mandated live hours, mandatory topics, or special CE formats.
