Kansas Licensed Practical Nurse Standard Renewal Requirements: Kansas LPNs must renew their license every two years and complete 30 contact hours of board-approved CNE. All hours can be general or elective, and there are no state-mandated live or subject-specific requirements. Newly licensed LPNs and those within specific reinstatement periods are exempt from CE for their first renewal.
