Iowa RDH Standard Renewal Requirements: Iowa dental hygienists renew every two years on August 31 of odd-numbered years and must complete 30 CE hours. Within each biennium, complete at least 1 hour in Infection Control and 1 hour in Iowa Jurisprudence, maintain current CPR (up to 3 CE hours may be counted), and follow Iowa’s 12-hour self-study cap (interactive real-time webinars are not self-study).
