Colorado Dental Hygienist Standard Renewal Requirements: Colorado dental hygienists must complete 30 hours of Board-approved CE every two years, renewing their licenses on the Colorado Dental Board’s biennial schedule. At least half of those hours (15) must be delivered in live, interactive formats, and a minimum 16 hours must focus on clinical or scientific content. Hygienists must also keep current Basic Life Support certification, which may be credited for up to two CE hours per cycle. Teaching CE courses can earn up to six hours of credit, and programs approved by ADA CERP, AGD PACE, CODA-accredited institutions, or ADHA components are accepted automatically.
