Arkansas Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine - Standard Renewal Requirements: Arkansas DO licenses renew annually in the licensee’s birth month and automatically expire if the renewal fee is not paid by the last day of that month. Physicians must complete 20 CME hours every year, including 10 Category 1 hours in their primary area of practice; there is no in-person minimum, and self-instruction is allowed. Required topics include 1 hour annually on opioid/benzodiazepine prescribing, plus a one-time 3-hour prescribing education within 2 years for prescribers first licensed after 12/31/2015.
