New Jersey Dentist Standard Renewal Requirements: New Jersey dentists must complete 40 CE hours every two years, including 10 hours in mandated topics: CPR (in-person), pharmacology , infection control , ethics/NJ law , and opioid prescribing. There is no required in-person minimum (outside CPR), and up to 20 hours per cycle may be earned through home study/online. Volunteer service and Board-accepted professional activities can count toward CE. All requirements and allowed credits are detailed in the state's official CE requirements PDF .
