Next Renewal Date:

December 31, 2021 – every 2 years

Required Courses:

  • 37 General Hours for prescribers otherwise 40 general hours
  • 3 hours in prescription of opioid medication for prescribers
  • 6 hours in sedation and/or anesthesia, physical diagnosis, complications, and techniques for sedation permit holders.

Additional Information

  • First renewal: Dental professionals renewing for the the first time must complete one half of the required continuing education credit hours (includes dentists’ required courses) and must have a current CPR certification.
  • No more than 3 credit hours of CPR certification training completed during a license term will count towards meeting the requirements.
  • All hours may be completed online for all professions.
