Florida Hearing Aid Specialist Standard Renewal Requirements: Hearing Aid Specialists in Florida must renew their licenses every two years by December 31 of odd-numbered years and complete 20 continuing education credit hours during each renewal cycle. Among these, 2 hours must cover Florida laws and rules specific to hearing aid specialists. The Florida Department of Health manages the renewal process, and ten (10) of the required twenty (20) hours must be earned in-person, and the other ten (10) of the required twenty (20) hours may be earned by courses that are self-paced, such as home study or courses offered anytime on-line.
