This is a three-hour overview of diabetes designed for Florida licensed massage therapists. The course discusses the various types of diabetes, the common complications caused by diabetes, the basics of diabetes management, and the role that massage therapy can play in improving the health and well-being of patients with diabetes. This course is among the subjects covered for mandatory live classroom hours; however, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Florida Board of Massage Therapy is allowing Florida licensed massage therapists to obtain all of their continuing education hours online for the current renewal period.
