New Hampshire Dentist

Total Hours Required:

40 hours

Next Renewal Date:

April 30, 2022 – every 2 years

Required Courses:

  • At least 30 CEUs shall be earned in clinical dental care subjects, including successful completion of a BLS-HCP course as specified in Den 403.07(b).  
  • 2 hours in infection control
  • 2 hours in medical emergency training
  • 3 hours in pain management, addiction disorder, or both for DEA permit holders
  • 4 hours in sedation for sedation permit holders
  • Maximum of 8 hours may be completed online.

New Hampshire Dental Hygienist

Total Hours Required:

20 hours

Next Renewal Date:

April 30, 2023 – every 2 years

Required Courses:

  • 16 general hours
  • At least 15 CEUs shall be earned in clinical dental care subjects, including successful completion of a BLS-HCP course as specified in Den 403.07(b). 
  • 2 hours in infection control
  • 2 hours in medical emergency training
  • Maximum of 4 hours may be completed online.

Additional Information

  • Dental hygienists and dentists submitting applications for the first biennial licensure renewal after initial New Hampshire licensure shall be exempt from the continuing education requirement for that initial license period only.
