Kansas Licensed Master Social Worker Standard Renewal Requirements: Licensed Master Social Workers in Kansas must renew their license every two years by their expiration date, completing 40 hours of board-approved continuing education within the prior two years. This must include at least 3 ethics hours and 6 hours focused on diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders. A one-time 6-hour social worker safety awareness training is required at the first renewal after January 1, 2011.
