Course description
Healthcare professionals are often faced with the complex and sensitive nature of end-of-life care, an area that is frequently underrepresented in PharmD and residency training. Understanding the distinctions between palliative care, end-of-life care, and hospice care is crucial for providing compassionate and effective care across various healthcare settings, from outpatient to acute care. This course is designed to fill that gap, offering healthcare providers a comprehensive introduction to the goals of care, best practices for managing both the patient and their family's experience, and essential pharmacotherapeutic strategies. By equipping professionals with these vital skills, the course enhances their ability to deliver quality care during one of the most critical phases of a patient's life.

I appreciate the convenience of the course being online and accessible through my phone and that it directly reports to CEBroker to support mandated education requirements.
I really loved this information. I was hospitalized last year for almost a month and I noticed multiple medical errors (not being hooked up to my IV multiple times, given wrong medication which caused my sodium to be very low, etc.) which lengthened my stay. I can now define those exact errors and better understand what happened to me. I hate that these medical errors are so common and I appreciate how well laid out your breakdown and categorization of them was.
