Substance Use Disorders and the Youth: Trying to Reduce the Barriers for Telehealth Use – 2 CE
The Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services is expected to give a report to Congress that identifies best practices and potential solutions to decrease barriers in the utilization of telehealth for the treatment of pediatric populations under Medicaid and are suffering from substance use disorders. This report contains more information on those, and it is important for health care providers to know those best practices.
This is equivalent to two (2) contact hours and can be easily accessed via PC, laptop, or mobile.
At the conclusion of this continuing education activity, the participant will be able to:
- Identify the best practices, barriers, and potential solutions for the utilization of services via telehealth for the youth suffering from SUDs.
- Differentiate what it means for young people to get services and treatments via telehealth compared to other modes of delivery.
- Name strategies that you can utilize to deliver the best care to pediatric patients suffering from SUDs.
