Pandemic Preparedness for Pharmacy Professionals – 0.25 CE

Activity Overview

The COVID-19 pandemic came without a warning and no one was prepared. This course will help increase the participants' awareness of the various sectors of the community and their roles in pandemic preparedness as well as effective pandemic preparedness planning. This self-directed course is a 0.25 credit CE and can be completed using a mobile device or a laptop.

Pharmacist Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this continuing education activity, the participant will be able to:

  1. Identify the roles that organizations, governments, and various sectors of the community in pandemic planning and response and the role of pandemic preparedness as part of overall national emergency preparedness
  2. Identify basic principles of effective pandemic planning and general guidelines that members of the health care team such as pharmacists can follow in developing their pandemic preparedness plan
