Pharmacotherapies for anxiety are widely used in the ambulatory setting. Pharmacists are uniquely positioned to support providers in management of complex pharmacotherapy questions around medication selection, adjustment, and drug interactions. However, published guidelines offering specific strategies are lacking.

At the conclusion of this continuing education activity, the participant will be able to:
- Recall options for first-, second-, and third-line pharmacotherapy for management of anxiety
- Implement management strategies for navigating QTc prolongation and serotonin syndrome
- Develop an approach to adjusting pharmacotherapies for anxiety

Jineane Venci, PharmD, MS-CI, BCACP received her Doctorate of Pharmacy from the University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and PharmaceuticalSciences and a Master of Science in Clinical Investigation from the University of Rochester. She completed a PGY1 residency and is board certified in ambulatory pharmacotherapy.
