Activity Overview

Severe acute respiratory syndrome, also known as SARS, is one of several serious respiratory illnesses caused by a group of viruses known as coronaviruses. Although there have been no reported cases of SARS anywhere in the world since 2004, there is still the possibility that the virus could re-emerge to cause a new round of illnesses in humans.This course is designed to help pharmacists and pharmacy technicians identify and manage patients with known or suspected SARS infection and take the necessary steps to limit the spread of the illness in health care settings and the community as a whole.This self-directed course is equivalent to 0.25 credit hours. It can be completed using a laptop or a mobile device.
