Immunization Update with Covid-19 Vaccine Landscape and Recommendations – 1 CE

Activity Overview

Emergency use authorization for COVID vaccines has resulted in the availability of many products using different technologies from various manufacturers. This presents an opportunity for pharmacy professionals to learn more about immunization updates in order for them to help limit vaccine hesitancy and encourage vaccination among the public.

1. Describe the most recent updates in pediatric and adult immunization schedule
2. Describe the principles of novel vaccine technology used in the development of COVID vaccines
3. Summarize CDC recommendation for COVID vaccines with emergency use authorization

Malgorzata Slugocki, PharmD, BCPS, is an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice at Fairleigh Dickinson University School of Pharmacy in Florham Park, NJ.  She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree, with high honors, from Long Island University College of Pharmacy.  Malgorzata Slugocki serves as the National Trainer for American Pharmacists Advanced Certificates, including Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery, Medication Therapy Management, and The Pharmacist-and-Patient Diabetes Care. She has no actual or potential conflicts of interest to disclose.
