E-cigarette and Vaping-Related Illnesses – 0.25 CE

Activity Overview

Vaping is often considered more socially acceptable and safer than traditional smoking. Although we still do not know all of the potential long-term effects of vaping, an outbreak of respiratory illnesses linked to vaping gave us the first indication that vaping can have serious and potentially deadly health consequences. The following course will help pharmacists and pharmacy technicians identify and manage patients with vaping-related lung injuries.This self-directed course is equivalent to 0.25 credit hours. It can be completed using a laptop or a mobile device

Pharmacist Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this continuing education activity, the participant will be able to:

  1. List the likely causative agents for e-cigarette or vaping product use-associated lung injuries. 
  2. Identify strategies pharmacists can use to manage patients with known or suspected e-cigarette or vaping product use-associated lung injuries.
